Peter Hatton is the Lead Clinician at Kaiapoi Physiosouth and has been with the company since early 2014 when he and his wife and fellow physiotherapist, Rachael Rowberry (see link to her biography) returned to New Zealand.
Peter has extensive experience in the field of sports injuries and musculoskeletal medicine. In the UK, he was the owner and lead clinician of a group of physiotherapy clinics in Birmingham. One of these clinics was at The University of Birmingham, a well-known sporting university which was home to a number of prominent Olympians and Paralympians as well as being the centre of excellence for England Hockey. He worked in professional cricket for 12 years at Warwickshire County Cricket Club; on the professional basketball circuit with the Birmingham Bullets and was the tournament physiotherapist at the All England Badminton competition, the World Championships of Badminton.
In addition to his sporting roles, Peter also worked at the Reading and Glastonbury festivals which combined his passion for music with his love of physiotherapy.
